Homemama2
Is there anything out there for practicing these daily or a couple of times a week, but without being a full grammar prog.? We use Rod and Staff and I want to stay with it, but my ds did not score well on his standardized tests in either of these areas. I know there are different things like "Editor in Chief" at Rainbow Res. Would this be what I'm needing or something else?
Crimson Wife
I found a great workbook at my local Friends of Library bookshop that goes along with the Write Source book called Daily Language Workouts. I believe the series starts with 7th grade.
TarynB
Daily Grams? Here's a link to 5th grade level. It's a companion product to Easy Grammar, but you don't have to use Easy Grammar to use Daily Grams. Or Evan Moor's Daily Language Review. It is formatted to help with testing skills too. Clarkd
We use Practicing Standard Usage. It is a wkbk based program. Child can complete the work independently. No Frills.
Homemama2
Thank you! These were the type of books I was needing. :)
EppieJ
Scholastic also has a series called "No More Boring Practice, Please" that may fit the bill for you, too. I haven't found a place that lists them all, but this site has several showing so you can get an idea of what's available. Often-times, when Scholastic Teacher's Express has their $1 sale on ebooks, a couple of these will be included. http://books.google.com/books/about/No_Boring_Practice_Please_Spelling.html?id=ieuVHAAACAAJ Amazon also has several listed.
