bethben Posted February 15, 2013 Share Posted February 15, 2013 Would using Dive Physical science and not having ds do the labs but just having him watch them and write up a lab report be a cop out? Should I just bite the bullet and buy the lab kit? He would be 8th grade so this is not to fulfill a high school lab requirement. We did the labs with the kit and found it frustrating that many of them couldn't be completed at home because of not having the expensive equipment that was only on the video (and that had results that wouldn't work right with our measurements at home). I think it will be fine just doing what you suggested. It is a challenging course, so just getting the facts down would be a great head start for high school.
