readinmom
My pre-menopausal body has its nights and days mixed up. I want to sleep during the day, wide awake at night from about 10 p.m. until 3:30-4:30 a.m. It leads to some very long, tired days at work. Has anyone successfully "reset" their clock? If so, how did you do it? I am exercising in the afternoon, walking 2-3 miles around the track. I don't have caffeine, ever. I try not to watch tv/use computer after 9:30 p.m. These changes have not helped whatsoever. I am not willing to take any prescription sleep aids. AK_Mom4
This sounds like a ghastly idea, I'm sure, but have you tried setting your alarm for 6:30am and making yourself get up then? Yeah, that will leave you super-short on sleep that day, but it should help you to be tired that night for sleeping. I also find that I sleep much better in a cold room these days.
