Esse Quam Videri Posted January 24, 2013 Share Posted January 24, 2013 I have to teach a class on mapping tomorrow at Co-Op (we are focusing on US geography this year but this class is more on map skills). It is for pk-3 with lots of little ones, so I want to do something that involves moving/large motor skills. We also have some sit down stuff to do and books to read, but its an hour long class and these guys need to stay busy. Any suggestions? Arcadia Posted January 24, 2013 Share Posted January 24, 2013 How about getting the older kids to draw a outline map of USA on the floor using sidewalk chalk. Than you or the older ones can give directions for the younger ones to go like "Go from the east coast to the west coast" and the kids have to walk from the NY side to the CA side of the map.
