SorrelZG
I use The Verbal Math Lesson for word problems and mental strategies and we have games for memorization of facts. Is there anything else I should consider if Miquon is our core math program?
Violet Crown
I would get the first volume or two of Kitchen Table Math, and spend at least as much time playing the games as doing Miquon.
SorrelZG
Awesomely, I already have those. DS has not reached a point in Miquon yet where he needs any extra reinforcement of concepts taught within it but I imagine he has to eventually, right? Ellie
I don't think you need to supplement concepts taught in Miquon, but it couldn't hurt to use something to help learn basic math facts, like Calduladders or QuarterMile Math. Violet Crown
I think a lot of the games in KTM aren't reinforcement of Miquon concepts so much as a broader grounding in the "mathiness" of the child's world, and a training the child to see these concepts occurring in reality. All I can say is, the combo worked well for us.

Yeah, we haves games and songs for that. That is all I've been able to find mentioned by others in my searches so far, too.
