I was at my MIL's house. The barns are no longer in use for any animals, but there are feral cats out there from time to time. So, the dogs (I guess) killed a kitten and brought it up next to the house. A repairman came to fix the Verizon and the kitten was near the box. I didn't want him to think it was a family pet tragedy that we hadn't discovered yet.
