PentecostalMom
Okay friends, my parents are coming for lunch tomorrow. The problem is that dd6 has a coop science class at 10am (I have to be there at 9:15 because we are using my church and I have to be the one to let us in), and dd3 has gymnastics class that dh is taking her to along with ds1. My dad really loves chicken and rice and I am hoping to put it in the crockpot. I have some flash frozen white meat chicken tenders that I can put in overnight, or I have some frozen boneless, skinless chicken thighs that I can put in. Anwyay, I was going to cook the chicken overnight first. Should I do that or just thaw it? I also have one of those bags of yellow rice with all the seasonings already in. Is it even possible to cook this in the crockpot? I have been looking online and finding nothing. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Based on Faith Academy
Hey Pen Mom!! I would definitely cook the chicken although it is not a must. As to the rice, there should be no problem cooking it in the crock pot. I love chicken and rice. Mmmmm.. I hope it turns out great.:)
