Rose in BC
I'm sorry things are so difficult right now. I was with a friend last night who adopted many from foster care. All the love and nurturing in the world can't help sometimes. :crying: I hope for peace and even JOY for all of you.:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: That's the truth. When you go into it you think love will be the remedy. Nope. We've got plenty of love. It doesn't reverse the damage done to them before we ever began parenting. It's heart breaking actually. By the way, he seems to have settled down. He's not happy but calmer.
Rose in BC
Rose - Hey, have you considered talking with someone who specializes in adoption family counseling? There is someone here where I live in Oregon that has done wonders for families who have adopted. Praying for wisdom as try and help your son during this difficult time. T Yes we do. She's not local however because we live in a small community far from an urban centre. Honestly, she has told us these are our most difficult years and we have to ride it out. There is not much we can do. I suggested to my son some counselling and he didn't vehemently oppose it. So I'll see if there're is something local.
