besroma
I have spoken with quite a few moms who are reporting their children getting bad cases of hives showing up a few days to a week after their child gets a flu shot. These are kids with no known food allergies. Anyone else hearing similar stories this year? Edited October 20, 2012 by besroma
Dana
We didn't have any troubles here with our shots. Got them a couple of weeks ago.
Pegasus
Hives generally appear a few minutes to a few hours after exposure to an allergen. If the hives are showing up days to weeks later, I'd say it is unrelated to the flu vaccination. Everyone here was vaccinated for flu recently with no issues. . .other than how long it took at the health department. :tongue_smilie:
VeganCupcake
We just had ours on Tuesday, so maybe it hasn't been long enough, but no one in our family has had any troubles with it. I haven't heard about that from anyone else, either.

Splash
No hives here. We got shots three weeks ago. One dd is allergic to eggs so each year she gets skin tested with actual flu shot to see if she can handle it and she was fine and got the flu shot. No hives, which is always her reaction to allergens. I'd think the hives weren't related.
