He's doing level 1 at the 3rd grade level since this is our first year with it. So here's my question. So, he used what he thought were more age-appropriate books for each grade level. You can see what your kid thinks of the 3rd grade selections. My oldest is doing KISS & she's using the 3rd grade selections. She doesn't mind them at all. I don't see any harm in using the lower grade level selections. The author repeatedly states that the material taught is the same. (Although I've heard the literary selections at the older grade levels is harder to figure out.)
