DawnM
Ok, well, my initial thoughts were correct. He just needs someone who knows Algebra to sit there with him and answer questions or he gets stuck and frustrated and gives up. DH has been sitting with him every night for a week. 14 year old took a test tonight and dh sat there but refused to help him. He scored a 92% on his own! He used to do this with reading as well. He would get stuck not understanding a word or a section and would just give up. But hey, at least he doesn't throw books or break pencils and throw them across the room in frustration anymore! We are making progress!!!!!!!!

DawnM
except, he STILL won't do it without DH right there! :glare: I did want to say that I knew he wasn't misplaced in skill level though.....
RamonaQ
Well part of solving the problem is figuring out exactly what the problem is! And then taking baby steps toward the solution....Sounds like you are doing just that! And congrats to your ds on a 92%. AWESOME!!!!
