lisabees
Ds wants to do a study on world religions. We are currently doing middle ages with Human Odyssey and learning about Islam. He was in ps last year and covered ancients, but had very little about religion. I know we can backtrack in Human Odyssey - it seems to cover the main religions well - and watch documentaries. Any other ideas? He would probably love to do some projects etc. when appropriate.
Arcadia
PBS Teachers link to World Religion: grade 8-12 activity ideas. They have a lesson plan, talking points and plenty of references on that page. Hubby and I had a discussion on the basis/tenet of all the world religions we are familiar with. This is a fabulous resource - thank you! And it even listed a synagogue in my area that has tours! Yay!
