4kids4me
Sorry I've left it so long. Tomorrow our Fair entries are due, and ds13 is making apple pie. I don't LOVE the filling recipe we have for it and want to try something else. Also, the pies will be judged on WED of this week. Could we make it today or are we better off baking tomorrow? Thanks! angela in ohio
Grandma Ople's on Allrecipes.com. It is an unusual recipe, but it works so well.
Lily_Grace
Grandma Ople's on Allrecipes.com. It is an unusual recipe, but it works so well. I was just coming to post it. It's an absolute favorite. I add cinnamon to the apples before I make the lattice, though, and cut out two leaves from the pastry dough for on top. Wait until tomorrow to bake the fair pie, but spend today making one so you know how it's going to turn out.
4kids4me
Lily and Angela -- two votes for the same recipe is a YAY in my opinion! Done! Thanks for the advice! :)

4kids4me
The apple pie turned out looking delish. Now we'll have to make one for ourselves to see! Thanks! :)
