HollyDay
I had to have this put in today. IF it doesnt work, I will need a permanent plug. Anyone know anything about this???
Michelle T
They helped somewhat with my dry eyes. But I never did get the permanent plugs put in. I"m glad you reminded me of this, I'll have to ask my optometrist about it next time I see her! Michelle T
ereks mom
Since the temporary plug worked fairly well, the doctor actually cauterized dh's tear ducts shut. It was quick and relatively painless, but didn't do much to help with the dry eye syndrome. If we had health insurance or could afford it, he'd be using Restasis. Mrs. Readsalot
The one in my right tear duct has been great. I have had it in for 2 years now. I can't seen to keep one in my left one though. The longest I have been able to keep on in it is 2 weeks. When I blow my nose it will just come out. I hope to have them permanently closed (cauterized) I also use Restatsis. I have Sjogren's. What type of information are you looking for?
HollyDay
This was just really left field for me. I have a cornea defect so I occasionally have some problems. I expected to go in, get a prescription for eye drops and be on my way. I did get eye drops - 3 different kinds to be exact! And the plug. I just never heard of such a thing.
