Kennedy in NE
He really did not want to go but My DH and I both agreed that this would be a good experience for him. He is nine and this is his first time going. He has 3 friends that went with him but he was still very nervous this morning. He got on the bus and he did not look back. I hope that is a good sign. Dayle in Guatemala
I'm sure he'll be fine. My ds was 9 last year when he went to camp for the first time. It was also his 1st time away from home for any length of time--he was nervous, too. But, he did great and loved it!:grouphug:

Dawn in Ohio
Is it an overnight camp or a day camp? Most 9 year olds will be nervous at first, but do just fine. My 10 year old daughter went to a week long choir camp this year and didn't know anyone. I felt sick that first day... but she had a great time. :)
Kennedy in NE
It is an all day camp for a week He gets home around 6:00pm each night and starts again at about 8 am the next day. I am sure he will have a good time. Thanks!
Paz
Aww. My ds is a counselor this summer to 7 to 9 year olds. I hope your son enjoys camp.
