Haupia
Do y'all have any suggestions on US history curriculum for a 6 th grader? She has been in and out of public school, so she has had some education in it. I was initially going to do Human Odyssey, but I was reading that it is more for 7 th graders. I would really appreciate any advice.
Momling
I'd look into Hakim's Story of US. Human Odyssey would be fine for 6th, but isn't US History (if that's what you're looking for).
sleeplessnights
Memoria Press has a 6th grade US history program: http://www.memoriapress.com/descriptions/index_American-Modern.html
Mom22ns
I'd look into Hakim's Story of US. :iagree: People tend to love or hate these books (it is a 10 book series). Many public libraries have them though, so you can choose to preview before you buy. We used them when the kids were 7th and 5th graders. Both nearby library systems had full sets, so I just checked each book out for 3 weeks, and we made it through them all without buying and with only an occasional renewal necessary. Haupia
Thanks Ladies, I knew the Human Odyssey was World, but DD want to do world, but I feel like she needs some US too....So I am debating. Just curious if it could be used for 6th grade.
lillehei
I love Notgrass' America the Beautiful. It is a one year US History. I love Notgrass!
