dm379
I got my boys fixed today. They've been home for about 6 hours and one of them is still shaking. He isn't cold. We've tried petting him, wrapping him in a blanket. The other dog is still crying. He hasn't stopped the entire time he's been home. Are both these things normal? RoughCollie
I think you should call your vet. Did the vet give you pain meds for them? Could this be a reaction to the anesthesia? Does the incision site look good -- not red or inflamed? If you can't get in touch with your vet, you can call an emergency veterinary clinic. Aidan was neutered on March 20. The vet prescribed pain meds, which I gave to him in accordance with the instructions. Aidan did not cry or shake. He acted totally normal. He did not like the soft, inflatable cone he had to wear and he figured out how to get it off after a few days -- Aidan should have been named Houdini. Based on Faith Academy
I would call your vet also. My dog didn't have any issues when he was fixed. He was tired the first day but that was pretty much the extent of it. Good luck!
