Lady Florida. Posted July 13, 2012 Share Posted July 13, 2012 I bought some peaches at the produce stand where I always shop, and they are mealy. Though they're sweet, the flavor isn't that good either. Now I have 6 mealy, almost-but-not-quite-tasteless peaches. This place usually has good produce, so I'm wondering if they might have been refrigerated at some point before they ripened, and I'm trying to come up with some way to salvage them. I could peel and freeze them for smoothies, but would like some other suggestions too. Dh and I love cobbler, but ds doesn't like it. Would they make an okay pie? I don't make fruit pies often, so I don't know if these peaches would be saved by a pie, or if they would just ruin what could have been a good pie. Any ideas?
