cjgrubbs
I would like to introduce notetaking and outlining as part of our history studies this year. It will be new to my rising 7th grader. He enjoys history and is a strong reader (10th grade equivalent on SAT) but it weak in writing so I'm hoping this will help him. I'm considering: 1. Kingfisher History Encyclopedia 2. DK History of the World 3. National Geographic Almanac of World history. I would prefer a spine that would work for notetaking and outlining. Any help appreciated! missmoe
We use and enjoy National Geographic Almanac of World history for outlining and note taking.
SilverMoon
I've only used the first one from your list, the KHE. I would not use this for writing for a 7th grader. It's so condensed it's practically an outline itself. My upper logic stage kids use History: The Definitive Visual Guide for their spine; it works well for WTM style writing.
