dancer67
Anyone know of another "popular" trend out in books? Done reading the 50 Shades of Grey series already. Looking for more great reads(although 50 Shades wasn't GREAT, but it sure was interesting) I don't like Science Fictions, mysteries, religious,war/military stuff. I like a story that has some tragedy in it but has a happy ending kind of storyline. I like authors such as Barbara Delinsky, Kirsten Hannah, VC Andrews if that helps. tntgoodwin
Well, The Hunger Games, but it doesn't sound like you would like it... http://www.usatoday.com/life/books/news/story/2012-05-29/book-trilogies-are-hot/55290008/
dancer67
I probably shoud have mentioned I read it. And saw the movie. I actually like it. I didn't think I would.:001_smile: Also read the Twilight series.
sparrow
Hmm. Have you read Karen Marie Moning's Fever series? Not *literature*, but good stuff :D. TOTAL fluff and YA, but very readable, Amanda Hocking's My Blood Approves series (vampires) and her Trylle Trilogy (Trolls! Really!). I think the Trylle Trilogy is better, but they're all so candy-like, you'll read them and move to the next series :001_smile:.
dancer67
Nope. Haven't read those. I am off to check them out. Thanks.:001_smile:
Chocolate Rose
If you're up for zombies, the Newsflesh trilogy is great! The third book just came out (June 1, 2012). I've got it in my Amazon cart. They're by Mira Grant. Feed (book 1) Deadline (book 2) Blackout (book 3)
Reflections
While not a trilogy, have you done the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris? Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare was a good YA read. House of Night by PC and Kristin Cast. Ender's Game by Scott I *really* like the Dresden series by Jim Butcher. If I think of anything else, I'll post again.
Monica_in_Switzerland
How about the Outlander series by Gabaldon? I'm currently reading The Other Boelyn Girl, which is good. I know the author has several other books out, but I haven't read any of them yet.
Lizzie in Ma
Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare was a good YA read. I *really* like the Dresden series by Jim Butcher. If I think of anything else, I'll post again. I adore the Dresden Files! I have some favorites that spun off from wanting more Jim Butcher-like reads. Kevin Hearne's Iron Druid series is a blast. Seanan Macguire's October Daye series Ilona Andrew's Kate Daniels series Jeanine Frost's Night Huntress series Patricia Brigg's Mercedes Thompson and Alpha and Omega series Marc del Franco's Connor Gray series Faith Hunter's Jane Yellowrock series
