Denise in Florida Posted June 27, 2012 Share Posted June 27, 2012 The kennels and buildings have been flooded at our local Safe Animal Shelter. They wont even be able to assess the damage until the river recedes. The animal control in the county across the river is now waiving adoption fees ($20 license only). They were already crowded before the storm hit. One of the shelters in an outlying country lost three dogs that drowned in the kennels before volunteers could get them all out. I know folks are praying for the people in Colorado and Florida that are in harms way, keep a prayer out for the critters too. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
