ClassicalTwins
Not sure if anyone here lives in my area posted this. But 2 teens died this weekend from a car wreck. They were 14 & 15, and had snuck out of their parent's house and borrowed/stole a car just to go eat & ride around. A very tragic end. http://www.wlky.com/news/local-news/louisville-news/Police-Teen-couple-killed-after-fleeing-from-police-crashing/-/9718340/15220478/-/eecdmxz/-/index.html I never sneaked out my parents' home, never considered it. But I had plenty of friends who did. We used this a teaching moment for our 9 yr olds, hopefully it will stick with them for when they need to think about how a little disobeying can go terribly wrong...meaning sneaking out, the rest is the domino effect. BatmansWife
How tragic. It makes you wonder what goes on in the minds of kids. They said he never had been behind the wheel of a car before. Then why would he think to get in a car and drive off!? Going 118 mph with no lights on......
RanchGirl
Sneaking out is not a good idea, but what killed these kids was stealing a car, going for a joyride, and trying to outrun a police officer. This horrific tragedy could just as easily have happened during the daytime.
