thescrappyhomeschooler
I spent much of yesterday working on a portfolio to take to our assessment Monday (because FedEx apparently lost the one I had spent hours working on online and ordered it to be printed up nicely :glare:). So, I showed it to dh this morning. He has no idea what we actually do for school. As long as we're all happy, he's happy. So he's looking through it, and it contains a very small fraction of actual work, a brief description of all the curricula we use, pictures of outside classes and activities, etc. After finishing looking at it he says, "It seems like they do a lot more work than regular students." I don't know why that made me laugh. I told him that yes, I think they do more work than traditional ps students, but that we get all of that done in 3-4 hours a day with no homework at night. And, they keep asking to learn more, so it's hard to stop working on stuff when they want to keep it up. Who am I to say no?

Jen in PA
I was so excited to show DH our portfolio before we sent it in -- but the entire moment was so anticlimactic because he had nothing to gauge it against. I can't believe you had to re-do everything!
