Ruth in CA
So, I need to work through trig/precalc with my daughter this summer again--she didn't click with the teacher she had. I need something that I can make fun and that approaches things from concepts rather than lots of problems. Any ideas?
mumto2
Kahn academy and LOF trig maybe.
Teachin'Mine
Brightstorm is another idea. http://www.brightstorm.com/math/precalculus/
Julie in MN
LOF is story-based, as Sawuk mentioned. So is Barron's E-Z Triginometry (or Trigonometry the Easy Way). Another concept-based idea without a lot of problems would be The Teaching Company's precalculus. Julie
SkateLeft
I'm partial to Thinkwell's Pre-Calc.
JanetC
Do you need a full curriculum, or something to review and fill in the holes? For the latter, you might look at the Straight Forward math supplements. They are review and practice books, so not huge amounts of instruction, but they are short and do-able in a summer and will hit the most important topics. http://www.rainbowresource.com/searchspring.php?q=straight+forward+math
