jrn
We will be going to MN in the twin cities area and have a few hours free. Has anyone been to The Works http://www.theworks.org/ ? Is there any other place that is a must see in the area? We don't have time for the zoo. Thanks so much. :001_smile:

You could get through it in about an hour or so. You only have a few hours, so you'll be limited. Depending on what you like to do here are some suggestions of things we have enjoyed... The sculpture garden is fun, and we enjoy hiking Minnehaha Falls. For museums we have enjoyed the History Center, Mill City Museum (and stroll across the Stone Arch bridge for gorgeous views of Mpls and the Mississippi River), and the Science Museum. Fort Snelling and the Capitol Tour are also nice. I think you could get through the museums in just a few hours, though. Gobblygook
Depending on the age of your children, I'd recommend the Children's Museum (preschool-early elementary) or the Science Museum (early elementary-adult.) Both are in downtown St. Paul and we have a membership to the Children's Museum, but will probably switch over to the Science Museum once our kids are a little older. Elizabeth in MN
This here is a second vote for The Science Museum. They have a special exhibit on about pirates right now. It was pretty good!
