WishboneDawn
I read the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child back when the HSLDA started making a fuss about it. I found that what they seemed to be concerned about were ridiculous leaps and even ran counter to what the convention actually said. Their write-ups sound impressive and legally but take the time to read the actual convention before you jump on the bandwagon. There are likely really good arguments as to why the US shouldn't be adopting these conventions but I haven't seen those advanced by the HSLDA. onaclairadeluna
This is perhaps an honest question however it is really a divisive political issue. It is not something that all homeschoolers would get behind. My family has been attacked with similar rhetoric so I am particularly concerned seeing it here. I hope I am not violating board rules by answering. I don't think this discussion belongs here though.
