cherylw
I also posted this in the general but no feedback yet so thought I'd try here. I'm trying to make a unit study but need something to make worksheets with. Does anyone know of a good worksheet maker program? I would like good graphics too. Farrar
What kind of worksheets? I know of individual websites that let you generate your own things, like copywork, word searches, etc. Otherwise, I'd just use a word processing program and take graphics from the internet. If you're just using it for your own kids, then there's not really a copyright issue.
Walking-Iris
http://www.schoolhousetech.com/ Maybe this would help you if you plan on making a lot of your own worksheets for unit studies. I haven't used this personally but just aware it was out there.
mrs.m
I just use Microsoft Publisher. If I need handwriting spaces, I clip from this image: http://www.mymoondrops.com/spelling/spelling.pl?word or make the lines using the tools in the program. Jay3fer
I just use Microsoft Word and have ended up with what I consider reasonably decent copywork and activity sheets - in both Hebrew and English. http://ronypony.blogspot.ca/2010/11/hebrew-science-animals-copywork.html http://ronypony.blogspot.ca/2010/10/miscellaneous-hebrewenglish-copywork.html I even design lapbooks entirely in Word 2007. http://ronypony.blogspot.ca/2012/01/new-hebrew-calendar-lapbook-around.html It's occasionally frustrating, but mostly I've been impressed with how easy it is. ETA: for blank lines for copywork, I downloaded a free font called "Penmanship Print" and all the characters are on triple-ruled "handwriting" lines. I don't use the font itself, but the "`" character gives you as many empty blank triple-ruled lines as you want (just keep pressing it to get a whole row): ```````` would show up as six joined triple-ruled lines. mrs.m
Thanks, I will check those out. I want to have graphics too. I search the web for the graphics I need and copy and paste. Sometimes MS will have the clipart I need, it just depends on what it is.
Jay3fer
Thanks, I will check those out. I want to have graphics too. I use Google Image Search. It has "clip art" and "line art" selections on the left-hand side, making it super-easy to find the kind of pictures I want.
MomatHWTK
abcteach.com offers some worksheet generation options with clip art, but it's not extensive. I usually make something using MSPublisher and then add clip art from abcteach.com.
