Bang!Zoom!
I'm a big big big fan of used books. Always have been. However...today- I'm at the Friend of the Library bookstore, and I see this absolutely beautiful vintage leather tooled, marbled fly-leaf book, lift it up, open it and BAM, immediately was hit with a face full of m.o.l.d. My eyes started watering, I could taste it and YUCK. I'm thinking it was a tough enough experience to turn into a phobia if this feeling doesn't leave. I asked the volunteers to take a look at the area, and remove the books if they thought it was appropriate. They did. Chances of it ever happening again are slim, but still..... Gross. Gross. Gross. :ack2:

SunnyDays
Oh, that's so sad!! I love vintage books... my dream career would be to become a vintage/antique book dealer. Poor book... :( (And, poor you for having to find it.) But yes, it's true we'll never have that problem with e-books!!
Georgiana Daniels
Eww, eww, eww! I'm squeamish about mold. Definitely a reason to love e-books!
