Mommy7
This literature would be added to the VP Self Paced 1815-Present course to kick it up a notch. So, do you know where a good list is? Or could you tell me what your favorite books are for this period? Thanks! :)
lewelma
My ds will be in 7th next year and I have been working on a list. It does not fit your requirement exactly, but the entire thread would probably be useful to you as there were a lot of recommendations http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=371304 . My final list is on post #31 and includes units on historical fiction about early modern Britain and America from 1600 to 1850 (although most of them were written in the 19th century), and units on distopian books and classic sci fi written in the 20th century. iamrachelle
The Veritas Press Self Paced History actually has recommended (optional) literature that they add to each course. There are book selections for two different reading levels. Here's a link: http://reg126.imperisoft.com/ScholarsAcademy/ProgramDetail/37323732/Registration.aspx Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see the links to the different literature selections.
