Mom-ninja.
I washed, hulled, and cut 6 gallons (I know weird measurement for berries but that's how the farm people made us count them....by how many gallon jugs we filled) of strawberries this morning. We went berry picking yesterday for the last of the season. I'm in the process of making strawberry shortcake, dh wants a strawberry rhubarb pie, fresh strawberry ice cream, and with what is left over a little jam. I love strawberries, but I think I'll be okay with not seeing another one for a year. I did enjoy my strawberry banana smoothie this morning though as my paring knife flew. Wish me luck on my endeavor to make my first gluten free pie crust ever.
Guest
Yum! I bought some the other day, but they were terrible!!!! I need to find some good ones and get started on my strawberry jam. Good luck with your crust!
Lady Marmalade
Yum! Our strawberry patch has spent this week painstakingly protecting blossoms overnight as the temps have been dropping below freezing. We'll probably be picking berries the first week of June this year, which is actually a little early for us up here!
LG Gone Wild
Strawberries this year have been yummy. My hands are getting rough from all the washing of fruits and vegetables.

Do what my kids do. Just blow some of the dirt and bugs off and eat. :D
April Walker
Farms where you can pick your own. My sister has done that before and it sounds like fun.
