Need ideas for phonic games please (workbook, made up, anything)

My 6 y/o loves games, all. the. time. I have been able to do a fairly good job of satisfying this hunger she has with math, but am struggling a little with reading, phonics, phonetic awareness games/ideas. I do own AAR 1, and it has some in the workbook. Should I get the Ziggy supplement for AAR1? Did any of you use it yet?

Are there any other workbooks, texts, anything out there that you would recommend?

I did find this free download here:

http://www.fcrr.org/curriculum/studentCenterActivities.shtm

It has some great game type ideas if you scroll down under the phonic section. It just would be a lot of printing off everything. Any other reading program any of you use, that has some game type activities in it?

Thanks!

For a 6 year old I'm not terribly sure what would hold her interest. Lots of the games I like are geared toward younger kiddos.

Lakeshore has some interesting games and manipulatives http://www.lakeshorelearning.com/home/home.jsp

There's a lot of phonics games books/ebooks available at Scholastic Teacher Express.

maybe search through pinterest.

I also know DK makes some language based games.

I have another game-loving DD (she'll be 6 in June). I was going to suggest the site you linked (fcrr.org).... I find many of the activities quite similar to those I've seen in the AAR samples.

My daughter also enjoys Evan Moor's Take it to your Seat Phonics Centers (we have the first 2 books, made into folder games).

Amazingly, my DD enjoys doing the "flashcards" on ReadingBear.

I also get a lot of fun ideas from Pinterest...
