CalicoKat Posted April 10, 2012 Share Posted April 10, 2012 The kids discovered that the mom cat (Joan, for my aunt) who came with our farm is having her kittens. :001_smile: The kids are elated. Fortunately she decided to have them in the grainery that I can lock so she can keep her peace & quiet. There's a cat door on so she can get in/out on her own. 1 down, 2 more to go. houseofkids&pets Posted April 10, 2012 Share Posted April 10, 2012 We have always had our pets "fixed", but I know that my kids and I would have loved to experience a litter of puppies or kittens. Catherine Posted April 10, 2012 Share Posted April 10, 2012 I have to say that our cat's kitten birthing was one of the best homeschool experiences. My son took more than 400 pictures of the kittens before they were weaned. LOL. Our kitty gave birth in front of a large crowd of children, and handled it with perfect aplomb.
