HSinNH
DD10 has mentioned that she would like to learn more about the human body. I am not looking for a curriculum, just some books, videos, or models so that she can get information. Any suggestions?
K&Rs Mom
We have an encyclopedia-style book called How the Body Works by Steve Parker - it has tons of info, lots of pictures and experiments for nearly every system
angelovearth
Here are some links that we've used: http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/ http://kidshealth.org/kid/htbw/bones.html'>http://kidshealth.org/kid/htbw/bones.html'>http://kidshealth.org/kid/htbw/bones.html'>http://kidshealth.org/kid/htbw/bones.html http://kidshealth.org/kid/htbw/ I had a couple of others saved but the links don't seem to work anymore. We did Sonlight when homeschooling and during Core 5 they did anatomy. I remember they had a boys book and a girls book. They boys' book was called The Body Book for Boys so I'm guessing the girls' version was The Body Book for Girls. hth

jar7709
We use The Way We Work all the time. I bought it used on a whim because it was a good bargain, but it turned out to be worth the full price because it turns out to be a go-to book for all of us.
