NCW
OK, this link looks long and strange, so I don't know if it'll work, but it's to a recent NYTimes article about ADHD I thought some of you might find as interesting as I did... http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/17/health/17well.html?ex=1214452800&en=835d769df35805bc&ei=5070&emc=eta1
Camy-7 boybarians 1 lady
I will check out this article. Have you read Unraveling the Mystery of Autism and Pervasive Developmental Disorder by Karyn Seroussi? This book sheds light on all the personality and learning disorders as well as practical ways to deal with them. Your local library may have it. Blessings, Camy

didasko
I really enjoyed the book by Kenneth Bock, The 4 A's... This article was very interesting to me in that it was in a main stream newspaper. My son is doing neurofeedback, as well as using an integrative physician. We've tested his neurotransmitters and he is using supplements to bring them back to normal levels. Insurance hasn't paid for much of these alternative treatments, so it's nice to see them getting some positive press, and not in some obscure journal. Spy Car
I have a friend whose daughter has rather severe ADHD. He reports she has shown vast improvements since cleaning up her diet (especially eliminating sugar and high-glycemic foods) and incorporating fish oil supplementation. She also has Herba Mate tea in the morning which contains a large dose of caffeine, to give a much milder "stimulation" than an ADAH drug. Not "scientific", but it's worked for this family.
