Mimm
My kids are almost done with the math that we have on hand so I ordered the next ones from Rainbow. The box just arrived moments ago and I opened it up and as I was flipping through the textbook realized it was all printed in lots of colors. I bought the Standards edition rather than the US edition! Tell me this will be ok? I can help them get caught up on anything that wasn't introduced properly in the US edition (I read that the Standard has some extra emphasis). Part of what gives me pause is that my younger daughter will be finishing out a grade soon and starting the next, but my older daughter will be in the middle of grade 5 when it'll switch over from US to Standards. What kinds of issues will this cause for us?
nmoira
It's my understanding that you can move with little difficulty from a US "B" level to the next Standards "A" level. Jenny on the Singaporemath.com boards should be able to tell you where there might be issues with Standards 5B.

Looking at the two, they seem fairly similar only the US Ed. has tessellations (minor topic) and the SE has the chapters on probability/statistics and algebra. Thank you, this is helpful! I might just go ahead and use it and anything she comes across that hasn't been introduced (if something comes up) we'll just pause and cover it it more thoroughly.
