purduemeche
How do you keep track of Phys Ed., specifically for "teaching" common sports? For example, all of our kids are going to learn to play baseball/softball, soccer, how to throw a football, how to ride a bike, how to dribble and shoot and basketball, etc.. Does anyone else do this? And if so, how do you "count" the time?
Hunter
We did a sport a month. I got at least one book from the library on history and rules. We did at least a few days of drill work. Mostly we did non sport related PE and focused on personal physical fitness goals. Old habits die hard. I got a book out of the library on hockey last week, and dubbed March "Hockey Month" :-) I'm thinking of buying a stick and a puck. m0mmaBuck
My kids do flag football in the fall and baseball in the spring with our HS'ing group. Otherwise, the kids do dance, rock climbing, bike riding, hiking, bowling, rollerskating, etc.
desertmum
DS goes to football academy every Saturday morning. We also go swimming when the weather allows it. We have tried to get ds on a bicycle but he hates pedaling. Other than this we are not stressing over PE.
