Tranquility7
There are hardly any reviews on them, but they look like something DS would love. Any opinions on them? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=our+little+cousins+of+long+ago
Rebecca VA
Oh wow, they've republished a lot of them! I had to buy many of those 100-year-old books from used booksellers. They're definitely worth buying. They have a treasure trove of information about lifestyles in the ancient world, and the stories are fun to read. My favorite was "Our Carthaginian Cousin of Long Ago." It's very hard to find children's books on that civilization.
happypamama
My kids LOVED the Celtic one and the Norman one, and we're looking forward to reading more of them when we study ancient history next year! They are a lot of fun to read and are packed with information about how people lived. Many of them are available for free from mainlesson.com too.
