CandaceC
My almost 7yr old love the ipad, and we are about halfway through the BOB books right now. Are there any beginning reader books or apps that would be fun for him? I don't mind spending a few dollars...but that would be the most I would spend. Of course free would be great too. :) THANKS! Pamela H in Texas
:lurk5: I did get free books from the kindle site. I check it every few days. And I have a few book apps also. But none of them I have are really phonics based. Of course, you can get progressivephonics.com on either device. And the I See Sam books are also available free online. But I'd be interested in hearing about other apps (I have an iphone and a Fire). A.J. is able to sound out simple words (mostly cvc), but using that to practice READING more would be nice. He LOVES books. Edited February 16, 2012 by 2J5M9K

felicity
I'm not sure the app works on the kindle, but we downloaded a book app from Cricket magazine. I don't have it here right now, so I can't check the name, but if you search itunes for it, you should find it.
