golfcartmama
Looking for comparisons! We use CLE math and love it. We haven't been consistent with a Bible program for school, so I need EASY to use (so it will get done) and good retention for the kids. I would get 1st and 3rd for CLE and Beginner and Intermediate for BSGFAA.
ktgrok
I've used CLE 6, but don't know what the other one is. CLE is easy to use, but I don't know how much retention we were getting. I am now using a whole different approach that is actually really easy to implement, on the advice of someone here. They linked to a page that has highlights of the Bible, which I printed out. It's a list of short Bible passages that when read in order give the overview/story of the Bible. I read one passage a day, then have my son narrate it back to me. That forces him to actually pay attention. It was eye opening how much he was just skimming through things before. It only takes us 10-15 minutes a day, tops. Less if he paid attention the first time, lol. And it is easy for me to do...I keep the list on my desk, and there is always a bible on my desk. So no prep. just turn to the passage and read. http://www.pennygardner.com/oldtest.html There is a new testament one too.
