MariannNOVA
would you be so kind as to share the format with me? or links to formats? I am not asking anyone to divulge any info about their child, just a format -- TIA
chepyl
name Contact info Age. Height. Weight (not always needed). Vocal range Performance experience Show. Roll. Theatre and/or director List all rolls thos way, either largest to smallest or most relevant to current audition. If it is a big dance show, list all dancing roles first, etc. Training Dance. 3 years. Name of teacher Private voice. 1 year. Name of teacher You can break It down or combine things as needed to fill the page. Special skills Don't list it unless they are willing to do it for a director if asked. Readability key. Line everything up and use a plain font. It should be only one page. There are a hundred different formats, but this is very common. Many people now put their headset in the upper corner of the resume and off set the name and contact info. You want important things to pop out, so list them first. You can put and age range sometimes, bit most directors want actual age. Make sure the height is 100% accurate!

Jenny in Florida
Name Phone Number E-mail Address Website Address (Each kid has a blog where we post about current roles and such.) Height Weight Hair Color Eye Color Date of Birth Theatre & Opera Show Role Theatre/Group Name Show Role Theatre/Group Name Film Name of Film Role Company Name of Film Role Company Dance Show Role Ballet Company Show Role Ballet Company Performance Groups Name of Group Name of Organization Name of Group Name of Organization Classes, Camps & Training Name of Show/Camp (Role Played) Theatre/School Name Name of Show/Camp (Role Played) Theatre/School Name Name of Show/Camp (Role Played) Theatre/School Name Name of Show/Camp (Role Played) Theatre/School Name Voice (Number of Years Studied) Teacher Name Ballet (Number of Years Studied) School Name Tap (Number of Years Studied) Teacher Name(s) Jazz / Character (Number of Years Studied) Teacher Name(s) We list roles in reverse chronological order (most recent first). And I move around the order of the categories depending on what audition they are attending. So, if my son is auditioning for an independent film, I move that category to the top, for example. When my kids were getting started, we had to scrape a bit to fill out the page. We listed things like church holiday pageants as experience, and we didn't break it down into different categories. We also included a category for "Skills & Hobbies" at the bottom of the page and listed things like "Excellent Memory" and "Loves to Read." Nowadays, they have too many credits to list on a single page. So, we've started dropping older stuff and/or less impressive roles. MariannNOVA
Jenny: Thank you for the good 'getting started' ideas -- it would be difficult for me to fill a page for this ds, but with your ideas, I should be able to do it. Thanks again --:001_smile:
