wy_kid_wrangler04
Not ones that correlate with specific programs but just good literature for Ancient history studies? We will be using MOH 1 next year but they don't have book sets that you can purchase (that I am aware of) We have a horrible tiny library that charges $2 per ILL and $1 per renewal. We did that this year and I am spending so much that it would be cheaper by far to just purchase books.

Paintedlady
I think there are quite a few publishers that sell sets that correlate with their curriculum, like SonLight, Veritas Press, MFW, etc... I think your best bet though is to wait for someone to sell their stash at the end of the school year and buy used.
hollyhock
Another curriculum that has pretty big book packs is History Revealed. If you look at Rainbow Resource, there are a number of different packages. They don't look cheap, but maybe they are a deal considering the amount of books in them. Might be worth a look. wy_kid_wrangler04
I will check all of those out! Thanks. I just don't want to have to buy more than just supplemental books, kwim?
chepyl
I have picked up a lot of random books from library sales. We have a pretty extensive selection now. Is there a bigger library nearby? Could you find out when they jave their sale and go shop? If they are for your older student there is abpretty neat Time-Life Ancient Civilization set. We have collected about 6-8 of those. We also have a few from a series called Digging Up the Past and others from an Usborne set.
