Green Pan problems!?

Do any of you use the new "Green Pans" from HSN? Yes, I got caught up in the hype; I want to keep us safe! Anyway, we have used a few of the frying pans, and tonight I used the lg saucepan to make mac and cheese. Anyway, after I drained the water, it seemed like all of this clear stuff was totally flaking off my pan!!! And it wasn't from the water/foam from boiling. I'm so upset. I saw a post or 2 about flaking before I ordered it, but of course, dismissed it because I wanted them.

I don't know anything about these particular pans, but the first thing that came to mind was the possibility that the flaking was actually starch from the pasta that had accumulated on the sides of the pan. That has happened to me with other types of pans. Could that be it?

I am hoping it's starch from the pasta, the only thing is, I've never seen this much before! And it's on the sides as well as the bottom of the pan. Maybe it's starch and that's the way it looks on the green pan? (hoping) I did wash it, and it looks okay, so now I'm not sure what to do. Maybe I'll go the denial route & pretend it never happened.:D
