Halcyon
This will be my first time using a formal loop, although it's been our informal method for a while. Could those of you with experience take a look at this loop? Is it too much? I want to get Science and History weekly, and my thought was that this loop would be completed every two weeks....which looks doubtful given the length. Thoughts? Daily: (Begin at 8 am) __ Reading (45-60 min) __ Math (45 min) __ Latin (30-45 min) __ Writing (20 min) __ Xtramath.com (10 min) __ Memory Work (10 min) __ Piano (10 min) Finish by 11:30. Have Lunch. 12:00 noon begin Loop. Loop: __ Science __ Grammar __ Mythology __ Geography __ Yoga __ Free Writing __ History __ Typing Practice __ Grammar __ Weekly Reader __ Mythology __ Composer Studies __ Science __ Typing Practice __ History __ Grammar __ Yoga __ Science __ Weekly Reader __ Geography __ Free Writing __ History __ Artist Study __ Typing Practice __ Yoga Finish by 2:30 on Afterschool Days, later on Home Days. Oh, Singapore CWP and IP are good ones to add in. Maybe I should add in "Math Games" too, since we don't do those as much as my son would like. Thanks! acurtis75
After getting back home and looking at our stack of stuff... I forgot cursive and ETC book 8 which is ridiculously easy at this point for dd but I figure we might as well finish it. I'll also add math games and probably geography games too. We have a few on the ipad and the 10 Days in Africa game I saw recommended here as a Christmas gift. It was a last minute addition for Christmas and is a big hit so far. After cursive I think we'll learn typing. I've been trying to find an app to do it on the ipad but so far I haven't found a good one. I'm also looking for an app for piano. DD wants to learn the guitar from my dad who is a musician but he told her she has to learn basic piano first.
