This will be my first time using a formal loop, although it's been our informal method for a while. Could those of you with experience take a look at this loop? Is it too much? I want to get Science and History weekly, and my thought was that this loop would be completed every two weeks....which looks doubtful given the length.

Thoughts?

__ Reading (45-60 min)

__ Math (45 min)

__ Latin (30-45 min)

__ Writing (20 min)

__ Xtramath.com (10 min)

__ Memory Work (10 min)

__ Piano (10 min)

Finish by 11:30. Have Lunch. 12:00 noon begin Loop.

Loop:

__ Science

__ Grammar

__ Mythology

__ Geography

__ Yoga

__ Free Writing

Looks pretty good to me. I'm still working on my loop plan for the new year but it loosely looks like this:

Morning

Bible - 15 - 20 min

Math -15 - 45 minutes of mus (using a acceleration plan previously posted)

Latin - 30 min

Memory work - 15 min

FLL - 15 min

WWE - 15 min

Subjects for the loop

Mct island series

Science

History

Mindbenders

Greek

Art

Geography

Famous men of Greece

History timeline

Life of Fred

Khan academy online

Singapore cwp

Various other things I can't remember now because I'm away from home right now.

Oh, Singapore CWP and IP are good ones to add in. Maybe I should add in "Math Games" too, since we don't do those as much as my son would like. Thanks!

After getting back home and looking at our stack of stuff...

I forgot cursive and ETC book 8 which is ridiculously easy at this point for dd but I figure we might as well finish it. I'll also add math games and probably geography games too. We have a few on the ipad and the 10 Days in Africa game I saw recommended here as a Christmas gift. It was a last minute addition for Christmas and is a big hit so far. After cursive I think we'll learn typing. I've been trying to find an app to do it on the ipad but so far I haven't found a good one. I'm also looking for an app for piano. DD wants to learn the guitar from my dad who is a musician but he told her she has to learn basic piano first.
