plain jane
Just wondering if anyone knows. I'd like to rep someone but I read on another thread that newbies give out grey or neutral rep. When will I no longer be a newbie?
genie
After 50 posts your rep will turn green and be worth one point. But don't let that stop you! Everyone enjoys a nice word, even if it doesn't "count". ;)
mcconnellboys
Yes, I'm sure your nice comments will be appreciated even if there are no points associated with them. And someone once said that once you do have points, then the rep you've given out earlier *will* turn green. If that's true, then the folks you rep will eventually get the points. genie
I've wondered about this, but if it's true, then would it not also make sense that when someone reaches 1000 posts or 100 rep points, then their previously given rep would reflect it, in the same way? (Does that make a bit of sense? Retroactive Rep) It seems like it would be a never-ending spiral of increasing value if it worked that way. Who knows. :)
