IsabelC Posted October 12, 2011 Share Posted October 12, 2011 In that situation I would be setting very firm boundaries with my parents or in-laws (ask for husband to back me up if it's his parents who are the problem), and if they didn't make a genuine effort I would only allow them to see my children when one of us is present. The thing that would make me the angriest would be the telling the children not divulge to us what they've been up to. Requiring kids to keep secrets from their parents is a deal breaker for me (unless it was something totally innocent, like a surprise gift, of course).
