Gamom3
I am looking for some audio books to listen to while my kids play at the pool. I do not like to read while at the pool, so listening to something would be great! I would like some parenting books(for kids ages 10 and up), mysteries, love stories, pretty much anything but science fiction.
nancypants
I posted some resources on my blog a while back. HTH :001_smile:
ticklbee
The library is an awesome place to browse and the price is right! Also, check out this site to properly import them onto your ipod. If you don't get the audiobook from itunes then you have to do a little tweaking so it will go into the audiobook section of your ipod and not the music section. http://aldoblog.com/audiobooks/itunes/importing-audio-cds/
Jenny in Atl
I'm an Audible fan! Prices are not bad and they have a wonderful selection. I do their gold membership once a year. ~150$ for 12 bks. I also use the library but those don't load onto my iPod as nice as Audible versions do. I find it well worth the investment given how much we listen while on the go or at home doing crafts or school.
elbac
Does your library participate in OverDrive? http://www.overdrive.com/ Ours does, and we can actually download available audio books to the computer, or mp3 player.
ticklbee
Someone asked the same question in the curriculum section and there was a wealth of info: http://www.welltrainedmind.com/forums/showthread.php?t=31555
Cricket
You can get free audiobooks from Librivox.org. They are older books because all the copyrights have run out on them but that just means lots of classics. :001_smile:
