jeffcolemanfamily
After correcting my daughter's Saxon work each day, I am not sure what to do with the things she gets wrong. Do I have her correct any of her problems she gets wrong? Do you do it at the end of the week? We are new to Saxon and I really want to make sure she learns from even her mistakes so trying to figure out how to balance this out. Do you have your student correct/check her own work? What's the best way to handle this?
TrulySusan
We are using Saxon math this year (new to homeschooling). I check their work on the same day and we re-do the missed problems together on a white board. With all the review problems, I don't want them going several days misunderstanding a concept. Also, I don't assign all the mixed practice, so checking their math daily lets me know what they can already do and what requires more practice. Ellie
You check her work, then have her make any corrections. And it would be best to do that before she does the next lesson. She doesn't get a second chance on the tests, of course. :-)
