Halcyon
My 6 year old worked on a poem today after we read the section in MOH on "soft" sounds and "hard" sounds in poems. It's his first poem. “My Dog Tyler†My dog Tyler plays happily with his friends near the flowing lake With bugs dropping on the water Birds fly above the water. His soft fur feels smooth and He cuddles next to me while I sleep. I feel protected with Tyler next to me. I love his gentleness He lies with me while I watch t.v., breathing. Create Your Ritual
Yes, he did a wonderful job. I love the smooth, soft sound of friends and flowing. Further down he brings in 'his fur feels'. I also like how the words he chose conveyed the feeling, ie. gentleness, smooth, cuddles, and breathing. He is off to a grand start. Halcyon
Thank you-I will let him read your comments. He will be thrilled :) He's going to work on it a bit more...or not. The ol' attention-span-of-a-six-year-old problem....:tongue_smilie:
