wy_kid_wrangler04
I have Patty Paper Geometry and dd does this every Wednesday. (Well, is going to start after next week as next week is our week off, then starting back she will do this every Wednesday) Anyways, would there be anything different she would/could learn in Key to Geometry as well? Or are they similar programs from different publishers? I LOVE what I see of PPG and can not wait to start it. I want to give her the best possible start in Geometry I possibly can by having her well prepared, but I do not want to buy Key to Geometry if it is similar in content to PPG. Any thoughts on this? Jann in TX
Both of the programs you mentioned introduce the spatial part of Geometry. The main focus of Geometry is logic... most kids are perfectly fine with the spacial part (understanding what a segment bisector is and basic constructions). The question is if you think it would be worth working through one of these programs for YOUR student. I've found that an introductory logic course is a better prep for Geometry.
